CHURCH: A little bit about my church

Joining our new church is the greatest thing that God has blessed us with. It is a secure and solid spiritual home. It boldly proclaims that Jesus is Lord and has deep spiritual water to drink from, supplied by God's word and Spirit through prayer and devotion. We have been members since November 2003. It may not be perfect, no church is - but it is not far off!

Hockliffe Street Baptist Church is a lively evangelical church is located in the centre of Leighton Buzzard, Beds, with a membership of over 200 people. The church's vision is to be Biblical, Spiritual and Contemporary

Our mission is to:

Glorify God in worship and service
Disciple every believer across the age range
Reach the whole community in evangelism
Demonstrate the justice and love of God in social action
Involve the church in wider fellowship and world vision

We set out to achieve this vision with a wide-ranging programme covering our Sunday worship services and children's work, and prayer meetings and fellowship groups together with youth and community work during the week. For those who want to find out what Christianity is really about, we run regular "Christianity Explored" courses to talk about Christian teaching.
