GOSPEL: Some stuff about the gospel Gospel means good message. It is called a good message because it is about: ... the Kingdom of God Now unless someone actually prefers darkness, despair and death, I cannot believe this message will not be good news to all who hear it? Is medicine good news to the sick? Aren't there enough sad and lonely people in the world already today that we shouldn't start telling them there is some good news? The message itself is very closely linked to its distribution. No one should keep good news quiet, it is something everyone needs to know. But is there room for strife and argument in delivering this message? This should not be. Let the message be clear. It is about salvation and confidence and freedom, not fear and bondage. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord..."
"The gospel God promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, and who through the spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord... this gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes" Ro 1:16
